Lao, Kuwait visa exemptions come into force

Visa exemptions for diplomats and officials / special passport holders of Laos and Kuwaiti came into force on 28 October after the two sides signed an agreement in Vientiane in June.

However the passport holders of Lao and Kuwaiti nationality are allowed to stay in one and other’s national territory for not more than 30 days, according to an announcement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Immediate family members (wives, husbands, sons/daughters) of Lao and Kuwaiti diplomats assigned to a diplomatic mission will also benefit from the visa exemption scheme, allowing the family members to stay in the respective countries for not than more than 30 days.
